Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer employs high-frequency vibrations to energize the pile body with substantial acceleration, transmitting vertical vibrations to the pile. This process results in alterations to the soil structure around the pile, reducing its strength and causing liquefaction. This reduction in frictional resistance between the pile and the surrounding soil allows for easier penetration. Utilizing the excavator's downward force, along with the combined weight of the vibrating pile hammer and the pile itself, the pile is driven into the soil. During extraction, vibratory force is applied while the pile is lifted by the excavator, effectively removing it from the ground. The required excitation force is determined by various factors including site soil, soil condition, moisture content, and type of pile and construction.
