Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer uses high-frequency vibrations to accelerate the pile body vertically. This vibration alters the soil structure around the pile, reducing strength and causing liquefaction. As a result, frictional resistance between the pile and soil diminishes. By utilizing the excavator's downforce in combination with the vibrating hammer and pile weight, the pile can be driven deeper into the soil. To extract the piles, the same vibration is applied while using the excavator's lifting force. The required excitation force is determined by a combination of site soil type, soil condition, moisture content, and pile type, as well as the specific construction requirements.
