Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer operates by utilizing high-frequency vibrations that impart significant acceleration to the pile body. This vertical vibration alters the soil structure around the pile, reducing its strength. The surrounding soil becomes liquefied, decreasing frictional resistance between the pile and the soil. With the combined force of the excavator's down pressure, the weight of the vibrating pile hammer, and the pile itself, the pile is driven into the soil. For extraction, the pile is removed under vibration using the excavator's lift force. The excitation force required by the pile driving machinery is comprehensively determined by site-specific factors including soil type, condition, moisture content, and pile construction.
