Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer employs high-frequency vibrations to induce high acceleration in the pile body, transmitting vertical vibrations into the soil. This process alters the soil structure around the pile, decreasing its strength and causing soil liquefaction around the pile, which reduces frictional resistance. The combined forces of the excavator's downforce, the vibrating pile hammer, and the weight of the pile itself then drive the pile into the soil. For extraction, the pile is vibrated and lifted out using the excavator's lift force. The required excitation force is determined by site-specific soil conditions, moisture content, pile type, and construction requirements.
