Understanding Pile Hammer Operations
The vibrating pile hammer employs high-frequency vibration to energize the pile body with significant acceleration. This action transmits vertical mechanical vibrations to the pile, altering the surrounding soil structure and reducing its strength. Consequently, the soil around the piles becomes liquefied, diminishing the frictional resistance between the pile sides and soil. The combined forces of the excavator's downward push, the vibrating pile hammer, and the pile's weight allow the pile to penetrate the soil. During extraction, the vibrating condition facilitates the pile's removal using the excavator's lifting force.
