Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer employs high-frequency vibrations to impart significant vertical acceleration to the pile body. This process alters the soil structure around the pile, reducing its strength and causing soil liquefaction. This reduction in frictional resistance between the pile and surrounding soil allows the pile to sink under the combined forces of the excavator's downforce, the hammer's vibrations, and the pile's own weight. For pile extraction, the hammer maintains vibration while the excavator's lift force pulls the pile out. The required excitation force is determined by factors such as site soil composition, moisture content, and pile type.
