Pile Hammer - How It Works?
The vibrating pile hammer employs high-frequency vibrations to induce high acceleration in the pile body, transmitting vertical vibrations to the pile. This process alters the soil structure around the pile, reducing soil strength and causing liquefaction, which minimizes frictional resistance along the pile's sides. Utilizing the excavator's downforce, combined with the vibrating hammer and pile body weight, the pile is driven into the soil. During extraction, the vibrational condition assists in pulling out the pile using the excavator's lifting force.
