Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer employs high-frequency vibrations to accelerate the pile body, transferring vertical vibrations to the pile. This process alters the soil structure around the pile, reducing its strength. The surrounding soil becomes liquefied, decreasing the frictional resistance between the pile and the soil. Using the excavator's downforce, combined with the vibrating pile hammer and the weight of the pile itself, the pile is driven into the soil. For pile extraction, vibration is applied to pull out the pile using the excavator's lifting force. The excitation force needed for pile driving machinery is determined by site soil, soil condition, moisture content, type of pile, and construction requirements.
