Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer operates by utilizing high-frequency vibrations that cause the pile body to move with high acceleration. This vertical vibration alters the soil structure surrounding the pile, diminishing its strength. As the soil around the piles transitions to a liquefied state, it reduces frictional resistance between the pile's sides and the soil. The combination of excavator's down force, the weight of the vibrating pile hammer, and the pile itself then allows the pile to sink deeper into the ground. For extracting piles, the vibration aids in pulling the pile out using the excavator's lifting force, with the excitation force required for pile driving being determined based on site soil conditions, moisture content, pile type, and construction specifics.
