Pile Hammer How to Work?
The vibrating pile hammer uses high-frequency vibrations to transfer vertical mechanical vibrations to the pile, causing changes in the soil structure around the pile and reducing its strength. This liquefaction of soil decreases the frictional resistance between the pile and the soil. By utilizing the excavator's downward force, the combined weight of the vibrating pile hammer and the pile itself, the pile is driven into the soil. For extraction, the vibratory action helps to pull the pile out using the excavator's lift force. The required excitation force is comprehensively determined based on site conditions, soil type, moisture content, and pile type.
