Pile Hammer How to Work?
A vibrating pile hammer uses high-frequency vibrations to accelerate the pile body, transferring vertical vibrations to the pile. This causes changes in the soil structure around the pile, reducing its strength and causing liquefaction of the soil, thereby decreasing frictional resistance. The excavator's downforce, combined with the vibrating pile hammer and pile body weight, sinks the pile into the ground. For extraction, the pile is pulled out while vibrating using the excavator's lift force. The required excitation force is determined by site soil conditions, moisture content, pile type, and construction specifics.
