How Does the Pile Hammer Work?
The vibrating pile hammer operates by utilizing high-frequency vibrations to induce a high acceleration of the pile body. This vertical vibration is transferred to the pile, altering the surrounding soil structure and reducing its strength. The surrounding soil becomes liquefied, thereby decreasing frictional resistance between the pile and the soil. Utilizing the excavator's downward force, combined with the vibrating pile hammer and the pile's own weight, the pile is driven into the soil. For extraction, the pile is pulled out under vibration using the excavator's lifting force. The excitation force required for pile driving is comprehensively determined by site-specific conditions such as soil type, moisture content, and pile construction.
