Pile Hammer Operation Guide
The vibrating pile hammer utilizes high-frequency vibrations to generate high acceleration, transmitting vertical vibrations to the pile. This process alters the soil structure around the pile, reducing its strength and causing it to liquefy. This reduced frictional resistance between the pile's sides and the soil allows the hammer, alongside the excavator's downward force and the pile's weight, to drive the pile into the soil. For pile extraction, the same vibration is applied while using the excavator's lift force to remove the pile. The excitation force required for pile driving is determined by site-specific soil conditions, moisture content, and pile type and construction.
